| Well,it's been a while since I wrote anything. a lot has happened! Don't be fooled...no matter how old your kids are, they will keep you busy! So.. I learned early this year that we were getting grandbaby number eight. That's right, eight. I can't believe It is possible to be so young (yeah, right) and have that many grandkids. Well anyway, it's like this... It started last october 6th with the birth of my precious Raylee (Andy and Rendi's 2nd daughter). That was shortly after we learned Lori and Mike were having twins due in April. They made an early appearance on Feb 25th weighing in, Kathleen @ 3lbs 13 ozs. and David @ 5lbs 1oz. I could not believe how tiny Kathleen was. She made David look like a heavy weight. They are now up to 5lbs 7oz and 6lbs 7ozs. Thanks be to God that they have thrived and done so well. Lori has been a good mother to take care of them and keep up with Isaiah, a very busy 3 and 1/2 yr.old. And back to number eight, Matt and Megan will be having M Trent #3 in July. It keeps me busy but very happy and very thankful to have all these beautiful babies. Madison our oldest grandkid is 6 and Micah is 3 and Andilee is 4. They are all precious to us and everything else pales in comparison to the joy they bring us. Okay, I just wrote an epistle on my grandchildren. I never thought I would go on and on like I just did. It's just a wonderful thing! The other news we got is that Matt and Megan will be going to Malawi (sp?) inAug. 2009. It's bittersweet for me. I've known they would go but I didn't know it would be so soon. It has been his fondest desire since he was about 10 but it will be hard to see them go. He will be taking the gospel to thousands and nothing is more important than that. | | |
| Well, again I haven't posted in a long time and I could whine and make excuses but i won't bother with that too much, well, maybe I will just a little bit. Back in May I went to the Dr. because my hand hurt and went numb sometimes. He said it might be carpal tunnel syndrome.Ialughed and said how did I get that, from my joy stick? (On my power wheelchair) He said that's pretty likely the cause. I thought Iam sooo lucky. Who knew? OK so,now the doc says I need surgery to fix it. Fine, lets do it! Fix it please!! Well it is now Dec. and I am still jumping through insurance hoops waiting for final approval from Pacific Care./ Do you believe I am actually looking froward to surgery. Okay that was a bigger whine than I had planned on. Stay tuned for more at 11:00!!!Well on a happier note, I learned the Mtrent4 will become the Mtrent5 in July. Yeah!! I just realized today that I will then be the Grammy to 8 beautiful little people but when did I get old enough to be that????? I just love it anyway!! | | |
| It's been a really long time since I posted because here isn't much to post BUT---I got the shock of a lifetime this week. Lori (my daughter)is pregnant. That wasn't a shock. I had already prosessed that news. No,the shock came when she came in and handed me an ultra sound photo. She said what do you see mom?I told her Iguess it's a baby. She said look again I still guessed she was looking for the sex of the baby. Then she told me see A and B? That's baby A and baby B. For once in my life, I was speechless. All I could do was look at her with my mouth open. Can you believe it? I still can't believe it. Lori with twins plus a very active 3yr old. She really doesn't know what she's in for. I know prayer is necessary for our whole family! Don't get me wrong I love babies, especially if their my grandbabies. But as my Mom said, it's true, it will take a village to raise these kids. And so,the next chapter of my life begins............. | | |
| I guess it's been a really long time since I posted an entry on my blog. We have had a very big change in our life. We have been worshipping at the Sanger congregation of the Lord's church for about 24 years or so. After much consideration, talking and praying between the brethern, we closed the congregation at Sanger and we are now meeting with our brothers and sisters at the Clovis congregation I am really happy about this change for several reasons. We now have a good size group instead of two small ones and the singing is great! The Clovis church is across the street from a whole street of apartment buildings. Lots of potential contacts! (We hope to keep Justin very busy.) And as a personal plus to me, the building is about half a mile from our house............Yeah! (Sanger is about 17 miles from us.) So, we look forward to the work ahead for the church. I am also looking forward to my newest grandbaby's arrival in September. It will be our 5th and Andy and Rendi's 2nd. There isn't anything like being a grammy! | | |
| Well, I got some very exciting news yesterday after church. We are are getting another new grandbaby! Andy and Rendi are adding another precious little one to our family. I am so excited! The church at Sanger is growing, again. We adults will soon be out numbered by the kids and we love it. We have: Andilee, Trent child #2, Isaiah, Kelan, Olivia, Owen child #3, Brittany, Jayden, Hunter, Sydney, Brad, Joshua, Courtney, Owen Gainer, Aaron & Ryan. Isn't that great? Here at home life goes on as normal. I think it's normal, whatever normal is. We have a good house, warm beds, more than enough food to eat, more than enough clothes and all the modern convienences you could ask for so I know I am truly blest. But normal, who knows? I had a pleasant surprise for lunch. Andy and Andilee came and got me to have lunch with them. We went to Applebee's per request by Andilee. It was a nice way to start my week. I hope everyone else has a good week this week. And please someone, define normal. | | |
